Mid-week visit. Friendly welcome. Very tasty food and efficient service. Wednesday eve so it was quiet but still a nice relaxed and warm atmosphere.
Can recommend the baked prawns starter, the creamy tomato sauce was very moreish.
Will certainly return as I stay in Clonmel frequently.
Thank you.

I’m honestly so disappointed. I grew up loving this place and was excited to come back after two years away, especially to share it with my fiancée for a date night. Unfortunately, the experience was such a letdown.
We arrived around 6 and, while we were seated right away (the restaurant was completely empty), things quickly went downhill. I ordered the spaghetti Bolognese, a classic I remember enjoying here before, but it arrived watery and tasted more like an airplane meal than something you’d expect from a restaurant. My fiancée ordered the Alfredo, and as a chef himself, he immediately said it was definitely not Alfredo. He also noticed an unpleasant aftertaste he couldn’t quite place.
The garlic bread with cheese was decent—probably the best part of the meal—but even the water tasted off, like dirt. On top of that, the service was almost nonexistent; we were barely spoken to during the entire meal.
This used to be a place I loved, but sadly, it’s not the same anymore.
